“Here’s another way to put it:
You’re here to be light,
bringing out the God-colors in the world.
God is not a secret to be kept.
We’re going public with this,
as public as a city on a hill.
If I make you light-bearers,
you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you?
I’m putting you on a light stand.
Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop,
on a light stand—
shine!
Keep open house;
be generous with your lives.
By opening up to others,
you’ll prompt people to open up with God,
this generous Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16 (The Message)

This one is very, very cool.
Of course, yours always are.
Thanks, Jennifer! That’s big praise coming from you. I’m always encouraged by the way you see. Love you and your beautiful heart, friend.
I’m struck by the boldness here; how the whole thing will speak strongly to me and many, but really well to young adult Christians. My church is launching a service to INVITE this generation of the unchurched. To me this image perfectly speaks to them.
What encouraging words! Thanks so much, Lisa.
This is awesome, Jeanne. Very, very creative. Love and miss you! xox
Thank you, my friend. Love and miss you, too. xo
The previous post was about Light… have to chuckle when you are so near to the same topic… different focus. And nothing is much more joyful than being a Light-bearer. What a blessing to have that God-job that is such a privilege.
Thanks, Joanne. Yes, it is a privilege! What an honor to shine for Him.
