El Diablo on Queen Anne in Seattle makes some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. It’s also a work of art. See for yourself.
That is so cool. I have never seen that done before.
If I haven’t mentioned lately…Grace is gorgeous! Congrats to her and your entire family on engagements, graduations, everything in the world!
How do they do that? I’m doing well to not spill half the coffee from the pot on its way into the cup.
Latte art is cool — but you’d think they would have given you a little devil! – JMB
I still regret not having my camera on hand last time when he made that impish devil face. I promise it was winking one eye and its tongue was hanging out the side of its mouth. Crazy! Of course, with all the detail on the butterfly, it’s easy to believe he could do it.
Thank you! We have a lot to be happy and thankful about right now, and we truly are. ♥
I’ve seen some pretty fancy latte art before, but never anything like what this guy does. I didn’t watch him do it, though, so I have no idea how he manages the detail. Next time I’m in Seattle, I’ll try to spy and report back to you. Maybe by then you’ll have mastered your pot-to-cup technique and will be ready for a new challenge. 😉
Yanno, you and Grace are the last people I’d expect to have coffee with the devil! Still … he does brew a pretty cup a joe! 😉
Well, actually Grace and I are very scary and intimidating. People on the streets flee when they see us coming. I imagine it’s the rosy cheeks and big blue eyes that send a chill of fear down their spines. Not to mention all that imposing petiteness. No doubt it was our queens-of-darkness vibe that inspired the barista to create such horror-inducing designs on our drinks (i.e., Mutant Vampire Butterfly and Four Leaf Clover of Death). So, like, try not to have any nightmares and stuff.
That’d be enough to scare me off! Beautiful women always terrify me. I reckon that’d make you a double threat!
I recently received an espresso machine from my loving husband, and when I looked up how exactly to do the whole steamed milk thing, I was astonished to see all of the coffee art out there! It’s truly amazing.
