“It may be that the Lord will work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.”
Jonathan said that. To his armor bearer. When the two of them defied all logic and went up alone against an entire camp of Philistines.
And that’s the verse that came to mind after a Skype meeting Sunday evening with the team I will be joining in Kazakhstan in nine days. Because this is what we learned during that meeting. This camp for special needs young adults, and the conference for their moms? It’s going to cost $30,000.00. And when you look at $30,000.00 from the vantage point of a small ministry in a Central Asian country, it might as well be an entire army of Philistines facing down one young prince and his armor bearer.
But when you look at $30,000.00 from the vantage point of a God who flung the galaxies into space? When you consider that the entire earth is a tiny dot in one small galaxy among many thousands more, and that all of them dance in perfect step to His music?
What’s $30,000.00 then?
Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.
So, I’m slipping in here now and quietly laying out this need, because for all I know, it may be for you. Or, if not for you, it may be for some organization or person you know — someone whose heart God has touched with a particular burden to minister to special needs youth and the dear souls who’ve laid down their lives to care for them.
I know the world is full of extreme needs, but I also believe the God of the universe has the resources to meet every single one. And He knows exactly who this is for. If he whispers someone’s name to you, will you be so kind as to pass this on?
Deepest, humblest thanks in advance for listening to the Lord’s leading. May He fill you with great joy in your obedience to Him.
