ACK! I just checked my friend’s page. Too many postings, not enough time. Just so you’ll know, folks, I love you like you were all my very own relatives who live in Boston so I never see you but think of you whenever I eat baked beans. But, I will not be able to read or post for a while. Life has suddenly jumped from shuffling along to fasten-your-seat-belts-and-hold-on-tight. Yeah. Seattle tomorrow. Back next Wednesday. Then two months worth of prepping for a writer’s conference crammed into nine days. Skiing with my dad in Colorado for four days. (This was not a good time for a ski trip, but Dad laid the “I had treatment for prostate cancer and a total hip replacement this year” guilt trip on me and my sibs. We’re all going with him.) I come home from there for three days, then off to California for the big Christian writer’s conference where the who’s who among editors, agents, and publishers gather to discover the next great American author. (Maybe I’ll get his/her autograph!) I’ll be back from that trip on April 6. Then I’ll start working on my taxes. Insanity.

Cool stuff happening. A friend is building me a web-site. An artist friend designed a logo for me. It’s AMAZING! I’m totally stoked. Another friend has taken it upon herself to be my sort of publicist. She’s in contact with lots of publishing types and is dropping my name with a glowing recommendation all over the place. I feel overwhelmed by the goodness and love, let me tell you. I’m not worthy. I know full well I’m not.

I’ll be thinking of you all and hopefully will catch up on journals in the midst of this roller coaster adventure ride madness.

Be well. Love, EZ

So … you think of us when you get gas??

Well … yeah, but you’ve got to admit, that’s a pretty impressive guilt trip! I mean, that one should end up in the Cooperstown of Guilt Trips. The Guilt Trip Hall of Fame!

Have a wonderful time! Sounds like many good things are coming down the pike for you!

Love,

Allen

I look forward to seeing your site. Make sure you tell us when it’s finished.

Have fun at the conference…without me. You’ve probably already forgotten you invited me to go with you, but of course that doesn’t matter ’cause I couldn’t go anyway. 🙂 Maybe next year. I guess you’re going to Seattle to see Grace. Tell her we all said “hi.” By the way, does she LJ?

Of course I didn’t forget I “invited” you (like this is my party, and no one can come unless I extend the golden scepter of invitation!) I probably shouldn’t tell you this, because you will be even sorrier you aren’t going, but I’m supposed to sing “Jacob’s Song” at one of the general sessions this year, which means everyone will be gathered in the big auditorium to hear one of the key-note speakers. All those publisher types will be my captive audience. If you were going, I would have loved to have had you play and sing with me. BUT, maybe next year, if you go, we can sing something together . . . assuming I don’t bomb this time around. Good incentive for you to pray for me, eh? I’m excited about sharing that song. It’s such a powerful blessing.

We will see Grace and Luke in Seattle, so I will tell them both “hi.” Grace doesn’t LJ. She occasionally reads them, but I don’t think she has lately. Probably not since you started yours.

We are leaving for Dallas as soon as George is ready. Bye!

My dad has the guilt trip thing down pretty good, but in all honesty, he doesn’t generally have to twist our arms to get us on the ski slopes. The timing is the killer.

I’m not exactly sure what is coming down the pike. I feel like I’m being swept along for the ride here. When I know something about anything, I’ll be sure to share!

Take care, Allen!

You will be the first to know. We’ll have a big web-site shin dig hoe down gala extravaganza. Would you bring your famous onion casserole, please? Okay, thanks.

B-bye.

Have a glorious time… We still need to go to the movies sometime. Unfortunately there just haven’t been any good ones. We may have to wait until Tim Burton’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” with J. Depp comes out.

We are not seeing Star Wars.

Gosh I miss all those hills. You should go to Tooth & Nail and say Hi to all those cute smelly guys there.

But of course… and as always, I will bring my marshmallow tangerine dessert.
